These sugar free glazed carrots are easy to make and make a great side dish to your meal.

Ingredients
1 pound baby carrots
filtered water
3-4 tablespoons butter - use Ghee for Paleo diet, Earth Balance if Vegan
sea salt
pepper
¼ cup sliced almonds
Instructions
In skillet cover carrots with filtered water. Heat to boil then turn down to medium heat and cook for 20 minutes or until carrots are softened. Drain any leftover water off.
Add butter and season to taste with salt and pepper. Saute until lightly browned. This lets you know that they have caramelized. Add a little extra butter if needed.
Add sliced almonds and serve hot.
