Yuletide Green Beans

- 1 pound green beans
- 1 tablespoon ghee - or goat butter, if vegan use vegan butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ medium yellow onion finely chopped
- 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic
- ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon crushed rosemary
- ¼ cup cranberries
- chopped pecans or sliced almonds (optional)
- Snap the stem off the green beans and then snap them in half.
- In large skillet sauté onions and garlic for a minute.
- Add green beans and cook for another minute until the beans turn bright green.
- Add sea salt, pepper, rosemary, and broth. Bring to a boil, turn heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add cranberries and nuts (optional) and cook for another five minutes.
- Serve hot.
