Spiced apple cider is a favorite drink served at many holiday parties. It is also a great drink to warm up with on cold winter days.
In this recipe I added some cinnamon sticks, anise stars, and whole cloves. I did not have any whole nutmeg so I added some ground nutmeg instead. Add the unsweetened apple cider and bring to a gentle boil.
Simmer for 20-30 minutes. Strain out the spices and serve in a tea cup. Mmmm, there’s nothing like hot spiced apple cider on a chilly day.
