This delicious gluten free sugar free apple crisp is the perfect dish for this time of year.
Fall.
The season of apples….apple pie, apple strudel, apple cobbler, apple crisp….
Apples are naturally sweet and do not need a lot of additional sugar added. As most apples contain too much sugar and I cannot eat them, I chose to use Granny Smith apples for this apple crisp. They are crisp and tart and very flavorful. I added a little xylitol to sweeten the recipe just a little. Add in some cinnamon and cloves and top with almond flour, coconut oil, and nuts and your set to devour a yummy apple treat.
