Juicy gluten free sliders topped with French fried onions, guacamole, or sweet jalapeno relish with a slight smoky flavor.
This is a fun alternative and easier to handle burger for your Super Bowl party this weekend. I found some gluten free buns that I could eat so naturally I had to try them out, but you could toast some paleo bread and use a round cookie cutter to cut the bread in place of a bun.
Several people have mentioned to me that they can no longer eat soy products so I decided to try coconut aminos in place of tamari sauce and the sliders turned out great. If you do not have coconut aminos on hand you can use tamari sauce or Worcestershire sauce instead. Sadly, I cannot have Worcestershire sauce anymore.
Add these gluten free sliders to my sweet jalapeno relish, a tray of raw vegetables, my tamari chicken wings, and dark chocolate truffles for dessert and you will be all set for this weekend.
- 1 pound grass fed hamburger meat
- gluten free slider buns or paleo bread toasted and cut into circles
- 1 tablespoon coconut aminos
- 1 and ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 small tomatoes sliced
- suggested toppings:
- gluten free French fried onions *
- guacamole
- sweet jalapeno relish
- In medium bowl mix hamburger meat, smoked paprika, ground cumin, and coconut aminos together.
- Divide into 10 equal parts and form into patties.
- Cook in skillet over medium-high heat for about 3 minutes on each side... a little more or a little less depending on if you want the hamburger rare or well done.
- If you are using bread instead of buns toast the bread. Use a round cookie cutter to cut out the top and bottom portions for your sliders.
- Top as desired. I added a slice of tomato, guacamole or jalapeno relish, and French fried onions to mine. You could saute the onions instead if you don't like the fried onions. Add some cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard. Be creative.
